Like many others I bought this to be a HTPC. There were two things that sold me: - Dual core ATOM 330. This is enough processor to handle several things going on at once. The 1600 just isn't quite enough horsepower for me. - The ION chipset. Once you off-load graphics onto the GPU you'll find this little PC will run at ~25% CPU load while displaying 1080p without a hitch. It took me two evenings to strip down Windows update with all of the patches set up XBMC Boxee beta and Hulu Desktop. Once I loaded on the Flash 10.1 beta plugins (to offload flash onto the GPU) everything ran smoothly. My HTPC is sitting behind my TV connected to my network with 802.11n. I have a 1.5Tb USB drive connected to it to hold my shows and I use the network for file transfer browsing and Hulu. The HTPC itself is extremely quiet... the USB drive makes more noise than it. Neither is noticeable at all. I had intended on replacing the keyboard and mouse with something more substantial but after using them for a few days they're just fine. I don't bother with a remote... the mouse is enough. All in all an excellent price for a very nice little machine. Very much recommended.
