I was so excited to buy my first real Mac and anxiously awaited the arrival of my "baby." Right out of the box it was the fastest computer I have ever owned. I added another drive in about 5 minutes and most of that was reading and re-reading the instructions! The OS is great and i love how easy the graphical interface is. I am moving over from Windows XP Pro. However a few weeks have passed and I am finding some niggling things that seem like they should not be happening on a machine of this expense. First the front case fan has an annoying intermittent vibration that comes and goes. Second the DVD drive sounds like it is going to explode when it spins up. Plus the DVD disk carriage is the flimsiest plastic I have ever encountered in a drive. It feels like it will crack if I bump it. If that's a Super drive I'd hate to see what they think is an inferior drive! Also I have already had data corruption on the main drive (I added a second as backup). Not really Mac's problem (at least I don't think so) but annoying nonetheless. I have to have these things looked at already on a >$2K system and it is irritating to say the least.
